Arezzo when driving south from Florence, or the next exit after Val di Chiana, coming from direction Rome.
After the tool booth turn right and keep staying on this road for about 5,5 km then turn left direction Castiglion Fiorentino. At the next T-junction you have to go straight over this main road and drive on towards Castiglion Fiorentino (10 km).
On reaching the main road Arezzo-Perugia 71, which intersects the road about 2 km north.
Take the A1 ( Mailand <> Florence <> Rome ) and exit at Monte San Savino, which is he next exit after of Castiglion Fiorentino. Turn right in the direction of Perugia, Chiusi-Camucia. After 1 km you will reach 2 roundabouts, keep straight on passing AIP fuel station on the right. At the next traffic light you have to turn left, sign posed to Polvano – Città di Castello.
Keep on going on this street for 1,5 km and turn right to Polvano. After 6 km a narrow road forks off to the left with a sign to Polvano. The road is very steep, so go slowly and keep an eye for cars coming down the hill. You pass some houses and then the road goes left passing directly below the impressive old stone mansion “Polvano Nummer 12”. The villa is the last building of the little village of Polvano.
